Fashion watches: Porsche 1919: Around the World in Porsche

Porsche Design presents a new watch collection, the 1919 fashion watchesin Dubai. It still has a titanium case 42 mm, waterproof 100 meters, on a rubber strap, but in this version it’s equipped with an automatic mechanical movement with GMT function.

A timepiece with an excellent quality-price ratio

The middle of the luxury watch is obliged to revise its pricing policies. Returning to much more reasonable levels, it is the brand that has done 180 degree turn up with Porsche Design.  For years, the brand has proposed beautiful watches, well worked, well finished and extremely neat design. Problem? The price soared and customers who, for some time, had "dropped the case."  Some will say that this trademark is not of a genuine watch brand.

Porsche Design has still created some iconic fashion watches and timepieces: 1972, the first black watch; 1978, the first watch-compass and 1980, the first titanium watch. Three pieces that have clearly marked their time and still appeal to vintage lovers. Their design is simply timeless. Today, the brand sells its watches mainly within its exclusive boutiques, retailers ended.

Among the latest developments?

The 1919 Series 1 Globetimer Titanium. A watch whose name refers to the year of creation of the Bauhaus movement. Side look with "three hands / date / GMT" has the same design of the P6752 model sold it a few years ago, but much more expensive.

Here we find all the identity codes of the German mark.

•    A titanium case 42 mm blasted well crafted (screwed / waterproof crown 100 meters),

•    An ultra-readable sleek black dial with an unobtrusive window date at 4:00 and

•     An indication 24 for the second time zone indicated by the needle red triangle.

 Its needles are obviously covered with luminescent material and figures reminiscent of Porsche counters.  This fashion watch by Porsche features a Swiss automatic caliber Sellita SW 330 (42h power reserve) and is focused on a rubber strap.
